Historic Interest
The pub originally opened as the Golden Arrow in 1968 and was owned by Charringtons, complete with a railway signal erected on the pavement outside. This occupied part of a purpose-built block for the Southern Region office of British Rail (the Golden Arrow name being a tribute to the luxury boat train to Paris, which ran through Beckenham Junction station until 1972). The interior décor was based on a Victorian style railway station. The pub was a popular live music venue and known to David Bowie as part of the Beckenham music scene. The railway connection was subsequently lost when this later became a Drummonds pub before being converted into an O'Neill's bar in 1994.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 1 regular beer.
