Re-opened on 22nd September 2023 under a new name "Erin's" as an AK Whelan pub after a £750,000 makeover. Named after the owner's daughter, the theme is that of a modern Irish pub with mirrors, bric-a-bric and a dark blue, maroon and gold colour scheme to create what is described as "an opulent effect" along with a striking mural and hanging garden from the ceiling. In the evening, the subdued lighting gives a more intimate atmosphere.
The central island bar has an illuminated glass shelf overhead, with several partitioned areas leading off. There is a mixture of seating and tables, with softer seating in some areas along with a raised section at the rear for music events and other entertainment. At the front, there are bifold doors that bring in the light and can open onto the enclosed pavement area in summer months. The sports area has 11 TV screens which cover all major sporting fixtures with the emphasis on racing, football and rugby.
Keg beers include London micros such as Gipsy Hill, Brixton and Beavertown. Cask ale has now been discontinued (as from July 2024).

Formerly a "Slug and Lettuce" bar which reopened as the "Manor House" in late February 2022, but closed in January 2023 immediately after New Years Eve.
("Hogshead" late 1990s to 2006, "Slug and Lettuce" 2006 to 2020 with major refurbishment in 2017)
Historic Interest
Current building dates from when the shopping parade was built in 1932 and stands on the site of Manor House (later used as the Royal British Legion Club) and which originally dated back to the early 18th century. Before conversion to a pub as a "Hogshead", this was a Dewhurst butchers shop.
