This Pub is Permanently Closed

An old timber fronted building which looks out on to Lower Green a pleasant place to sit in the summer. Under the ownership of Mitchells & Butlers it was extended to the rear to provide a new larger toilet block and the servery in the lounge was altered. The lounge and the smoke room were knocked into one larger room and in 2004 a side extension was built to create a restaurant area. Further refurbishments were carried out and in 2008 to create a Gastro Pub but by 2010 it had reverted to a dining pub but with the lounge used by drinkers.
