Formally known as The Newtown Linford Ex-Services Club, now just called the Linford or even the Club, but open to all. Very much the centre for village activities, with quizzes and live entertainment most months. TVs are available for sports events and there is a pool table and darts board. It has a large function room. No meals, but cobs are often available. Formerly an ex-servicemans club, while open to anybody, it still operates as a club with card holders having discounted beers. As a chocolate box picturesque village by one of the busiest country parks in the country, surprisingly there are only 4 buses a day
Historic Interest
The original timber structure had a previous existence as a tea-room at a farm in the village before been dismantled and re-erected in its present position. The brickwork extension to the front, which now forms the main bar and pool table room, was constructed in 1928 and the wooden hut at the back became a function room which was eventually rebuilt in brick in 1960 and subsequently underwent extensive refurbishment in 2012.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer (Occasional guest.) and 2 regular beers.
