This Pub is Permanently Closed
In a housing estate to the south west of the town, the pub was built in the 1930s. The main building was two storeys in height and constructed in brickwork, painted render and timber framing under a tiled roof. The building was extended and altered over the years. It closed in April 2009 and following a successful planning application was demolished and replaced by a development of 5 houses, known as King Alfred Court.
