Historic Interest
Converted in the 1860s from two cottages. The building to the rear, which houses the skittles long alley, is on Oadby & Wigston Borough Councils Schedule of Significant Local Buildings, defined as buildings of local or architectural interest. Its origins were as a purpose built Framework Knitters Shed, at a time in the 18th century, when Wigston became a centre for this occupation. The long rows of windows to maximise available light are, in the main now bricked up, but it is clear to define where they were.
