This pub started its existence as a terrace which included a butchers shop and four cottages. A cottagey ambience still prevails within. When first licenced, it was for a while, known as The Shoulder of Mutton before adopting its present name. Consisting of two rooms in the form of a public bar with exposed timber flooring, ceiling beams and joists; a lounge bar/dining room also with exposed ceiling timbers and timber matchboard clad walls.
