A traditional and friendly village local. Kev Featherstone, the current licensee, brews his Pig Pub beers in a small brewery behind the pub and also cooks the food, which is extremely popular, especially the Sunday and Wednesday carveries. There is a modernised open-plan interior, and patio-garden areas at the front and side. Arriva bus service 8 runs hourly between Hinckley and Lutterworth, Monday to Saturday daytimes.
Historic Interest
After the closure of the Royal Oak, now the only pub in the village. It was the Bulls Head until renamed in 1997. Historically owned by Sydney Evershed Ltd of Burton-upon-Trent, a brewery which merged with Marstons in 1905 and closed in 1908.
