Part of the grade II listed Esplanade Hotel The owner also owns the Heritage brewery. It is an imposing building dominating part of the Esplanade to the left after leaving the Pier. The hotel was built in 1845 and opened in 1868 as a public bath. In 1878 the bar was opened to the public. The bar has comfortable seating as befits a Victorian hotel. Always one Heritage ale on offer, seldom other than excellent condition. In summer a quiet sanctuary from the hubbub of the sea front.
