Large pub on the main road with an emphasis on meals. Children's playground. Half-timbered interior. Camping and caravanning.
Entry from the car park is into the bar area which is long with a dogleg. Three hand pulls are present which advertise the beers one of which is not pulled but dispensed by gravity from a jacketed cask behind the bar.
Opposite the bar there is a seating area bathed in light from a North facing window.
Adjacent there is a segregated area with the menu chalk board above the fireplace which is double sided, heating both this and the carvery area.
The carvery area has additional seating and hosts the corridor through to the toilets and restaurant.
Everywhere there are interesting artefacts/objet d'art to decorate and interest, agricultural implements, framed photos/prints, brass instruments, Singer sewing machines, beer bottles, dried hop garlands etc. etc.
All in all a very nice place to be.
Outside adjacent to the entrance to the rear there is a large covered area, an open area adorned with picnic benches alongside the river and then closer to the campsite the extensive children's play area with further grassy area and further picnic benches.
