Large pub in a old water mill set in its own grounds.
Parking the car on the surfaced area nearest the pub you approach on foot with picnic benches in front of you alongside the river and agricultural equipment to provoke discussion on the left. You have to walk the bridge over the river Frome to get to the pub with a gravel area to your left with further picnic benches near the entrance.
Entering the establishment you find yourself in front of a long bar with 3 hand pulls. Normally one real ale is served but you may find two at peak times in summer.
To your left is the bar area with stone floor where you may bring your dog and where the historic mill workings may be found.
To your right you will find a more casual area where at the far end the toilets will be found and stairs to the large function room on the first floor.
Opposite the bar is the restaurant with views over the river. There is a segregated area here and the carvery which is served on Sunday.
