An excellent example of a market town local, with a friendly customer base covering a wide age range. Records of the Feathers existing date back to the 18th century although much of the present building dates to the early 19th century.
To accompany the single long bar, the interior of the pub has cosy alcoves, and a variety of memorabilia mounted on the walls, some reflecting the social history of the town and local area, as well as old farm implements and early photographs.
An impressive collection of some 70 whisky water jugs hangs from the ceiling behind the bar. No television but has retained the dart board.
Outside is a paved patio-style beer garden.
