17C Grade 2 Listed building, overlooking the Old Market Cross and centre of the town. Reopened October 2026 (after being closed for several years), aiming to be a community amenity orientated pub serving local small brewery beers, keg ranges and Norfolk ciders. Up to six pumps available for real ale

Looking to attract locals and people or groups who like a chat and a beer or a cuppa rather than sport. Open from 9am to provide breakfasts as well as lunch and dinner. Very handy for market days. Large interior room with long bar, a side room for quieter seclusion, smoking area at rear of pup. Tables outside at front in warm months.

Five minutes walk from the Abbey and the Mid Norfolk Railway.
