Traditional stone built country free house at the end of the village, with the main bar stretching left and right from the door and featuring open fires at both ends. There’s also a small side room ideal for private dining for six or so. Excellent home cooked food is served.
A large room with comfy sofas, dartboard and TV is down a level, also accessible from the large patio. Outside the patio is reached by grand steps or a slope beside the road. It is equipped with smart wooden tables and (wheelchair accessible) picnic benches.
The pub has a mixed clientele of locals and tourists visiting the Peak District National Park, is dog friendly and there’s a large car park.
