The Officer's Report dated 17 July 2023 for planning application 21/05342/FUL says: "The existing lawful use of the site is an unclear one. Google street view images show in 2008 and 2010, a sign pointing to the rear of the site indicating the Croydon Conservative Working Men’s Club. A Conservative Working Men’s club based on historic maps and web search appears to have historically operated at this site, albeit in a different now demolished building since at least the 1890’s."
