17th-century inn with eight handpumps and an ever changing range of cask ales which will include at least two hoppy ales, a dark ale and a stronger ale +5%. Drinks range also includes two keg ales with one a key keg from craft breweries from around the country including Arbor, New Bristol, Thornbridge, Northern Monk. A selection of ciders and a range of twenty canned craft ales makes this pub an absolute treat for those wanting a huge selection of well kept drinks and has to be one of the best real ale pubs in country! Voted Somerset CAMRA branch 'Pub of the Year' on ten occasions over the last twelve years!
Several bar areas with real fires during winter (plus an outside fire to keep the smokers warm). Separate dining room, with an extensive range of good value food. Function room.
Discount scheme for CAMRA members - 30p off a pint of Real Ale but increases to 60p off peak periods inc Mon-Tues 3-8pm and Wed-Thurs 3-5 pm.
Dogs although normally welcome are not admitted into the dining areas between 18:00 and 21:00 on Friday & Saturday.
