Formerly named Princetown, Dartmoor Brewery was established in 1994. It is the highest brewery in England at 1,465 feet above sea level. In 2005 the brewery moved locally to a new, purpose-built building. In both 2012 and 2013 capacity was increased. In 2017 a further extension was built which now gives a brewing capacity of 540 barrels. The brewery is a traditional ale producer and all beer is brewed using English Malt.
