Dated plaque H.T.A. 1710. Originally a farmhouse with slightly later cross-wing to left hand and similar rear extension to right hand. Two-storeys with attics. Local red brick with yellow brick in chequered band between floors of main range. Plain tile hipped roofs, moulded eaves cornice with modillions to cross-wing. Two side stacks and central ridge stack. Four flat-roofed dormers with horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars. Three first floor hung sash windows with glazing bars, and two similar windows in segmental arches at ground-floor, flank central six panelled door. Door case of panelled pilasters with scroll brackets supporting the cornice of a triangular pediment. Two recessed hung sash windows at both floor levels of cross-wing in gauged brick arches with key blocks. Gauged brick band between floors. Interior: Very fine closed string staircase with turned balusters, of symmetrical plan with first flight free standing. Original raised and fielded six panelled doors, chimney pieces and raised and fielded oak panelling to dado height in room left of staircase. (RCHM Huntingdonshire Mon 24 p 142).
