Picture-postcard thatched and oak-beamed pub with an idyllic riverside location. Reputedly Anglo-Saxon origin and England's oldest inn (but many others also claim that title) and haunted by 11th century local girl Juliet Tewsley. Following a disastrous fire some years ago, much of what you see, quaint as it is, is modern reconstruction. A large garden extends down to the river.
This Pub serves 4 changing beers (other Greene King beers, commonly Old Speckled Hen) and 1 regular beer.
