This Restaurant is Permanently Closed
This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.
The Fox Inn was originally one of four Gales pubs north of Reading (the others being the Pack Saddle and the Pack Horse, both in Mapledurham but also on the A4074, and the Black Lion, Woodcote). It subsequently became a Berni Inn, and later converted into a restaurant some years before 2009 (estimated in 2006), and then converted into an Indian restaurant in Sep 2009, but was closed in mid 2010. The property was owned by Patron Capital (formerly Punch Taverns). In April 2018 it was surrounded by hoardings with planning permission to demolish it and build six houses on the site. The building was demolished in September 2018. The new houses are under construction Dec 2019.
