Now a very music orientated venue and on most occasions you might have to buy a ticket to get in. This though is not totally clear as it opens at noon daily and most gigs do not start until 7pm - so maybe you can get in for a drink, but as we say, not clear. Also some of the events are free to attned - check their website. Live music has a curfew of 11pm Mon-Sat and 10pm Sun.
Prior incarnation -
The original Belgo, which opened its doors in April 1992, closed in the first half of 2019.
It was a restaurant with a dual personality. The original half, designed by Anand Zenz, was an eccentric interpretation of the European brewery eating hall, with rendered concrete walls featuring the comical sounding names of common Medieval fayre. A Ron Arad designed extension, added 18 months after opening to double the capacity, featured acid-etched steel and plywood beams soaring in and out of a glass roof, and an amoeba-shaped bar.
