October 2024 - reopened by Big Red’s original owner. Keg beers from 3 Locks and Werewolf along with German beers Bitburger and Benediktiner. Other beers seen recently - Kona Big Wave Golden Ale; Bitburger; and Verdant Lightbulb.
March 2023 - "we have decided to close the doors".
July 2021 - Monarchy, NW1 – reopening as a pub and music venue in July on site of The Monarch, Camden. Although the new empahsis will be on creating a sports pub.

Converted from a car showroom around 1993 by Wetherspoon's, it was acquired by Valeart Design in 2004 and is now operated by Camden Bars. It is a cavernous room with a beer garden at the rear. Was renamed the Monarch, which used to be the name of the pub down the road now called Barfly. Regular club nights and other events. Handpumps removed.
