This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
This local club is Grade 2 listed by English Heritage and dates back to the 17th century. The building's original timbers were salvaged from a ship named 'The Mermaid' and can still be seen in some parts of the club today. There is bar-side seating for the locals and an open lounge as well as a separate pool table area. Upstairs there is a large function room, refurbished in 2023, with a bar, which is available for bookings. There is a pleasant garden area to the rear. Infrequent visitors are welcome and are requested to sign in. Membership is open to everyone without nomination and current membership rates can be found on the club's Facebook alongside upcoming events. Please note that doors close half an hour before last orders.
