This Pub is Permanently Closed

Historically this was a Brickwoods (Portsmouth) pub before being taken over by Whitbread whereas most Southampton Whitbread pubs were previously Strongs (Romsey) pubs. Hence it sold Brickwoods Best, badged as 'Crown Bitter' - one of the very few Southampton pubs to do so before Brickwoods Best became Pompey Royal and gained a wider distribution in the Whitbread empire.
