The pub is easily found across the road from Mottisfont & Dunbridge station; which has a regular hourly service on the Salisbury - Southampton line. The pub was named after local landowners, not a mill; although there once was a mill on the River Dun nearby. The Dun is a tributary of the River Test; hence the inn's popularity with anglers. Indeed, two ex presidents of the USA - Bush & Carter - have stayed here for the fishing.
Inside, there is a large relaxed, comfortable single room with separate areas all served by a central bar. Adjoining is a large conservatory used mainly by diners, overlooking a spacious rural garden. Towards the rear of the pub is a double skittle alley, sometimes used for other functions, complete with its own bar.
The Mill Arms has six en-suite rooms, so provides a useful resting place in this pleasant and remote Hampshire countryside. Two long distance paths - the Test Way & the Monarch's Way pass within a mile of the pub, so the pub is of interest to walkers too.
Food service may be restricted to those who a have booked during busy times such as when they are hosting functions in their skittle alley area.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
