A very large postwar estate pub with a prominent exterior in "Cotswold Tudor" style. 1992 refurbishment with conservatory. Very large lounge in the centre and right; smaller bar on the left. Both rooms have games and sports TVs. There is a small garden at the back with picnic tables.

Historic Interest

The Stirrup Cup, together with adjoining shops and community centre, was built in 1956 to serve the City Council's Thurnby Lodge Estate. The estate was built on land which at the time was part of Billesden Rural District Council; later it was transferred to the City Council. The pub was built by James Shipstone's Nottingham brewery; then in the ownership of Greenall's brewery, it was named as the Manor for some years in the 1990s, but later reverted to its original name. It transferred to Enterprise Inns, thence to the Stonegate pubco.
