Historic Interest
Named after William Wygston (1456-1536), who was an extremely wealthy wool merchant, philanthropist, MP, and twice mayor of Leicester. This pub opened in 1997 in a former Kwiksave store which was itself part of a re-development, many years ago, which replaced terraced housing with retail outlets. The 1911 census records that the house previously having this pubs address was occupied an elderly widow and her spinster sister.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 3 regular beers.
