A beautiful pub in totally rural area, Stunning countryside and views. Excellent place for enjoying a drink when finishing your walk. Only bottled beers available. Spring-water available from source under pub. Originally a farm built 1629, converted to a beer house 1825. Known as "Bottom of the Hill". Two real fires complete with back boilers are the only system of heating the buildings radiators. Hot and cold bar snacks are available. Patio area outside for summer use. Children are permitted in dining area and Dogs are now allowed in the pub itself. Credit cards are now accepted.
Located near the bottom of the Wildboarclough path down from the nearby hill Shutlingsloe.
