A brick built pub, standing on the junction of roads from Macclesfield, Sutton, Langley and Wincle, and giving easy access to Macclesfield Forest. The bar serves a single large lounge with screened areas and a real fire, and there is a small snug to the right of the bar. Licensee Shelagh and her staff offer a warm welcome and five hand-pumps give a choice from three regular beers, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Bombardier and Unicorn, with three guests from local and regional brewers. Food is served lunchtimes and evenings and all day on Saturdays and Sundays, the wide-ranging menu has a section specialising in Indian dishes and is supplemented by a daily specials board. Pub games include dominoes, crib and skittles and for the occasional warm summer evening, there are large outdoor drinking and play areas, and a patio for smokers.
Only open on Tuesdays for domino nights.
