Now principally a Gin & Whisky distillery with tours available. Home to Forest Gin & Whisky. Comfortable bar area with one cask ale from Robinsons and three keg beers. You may be able to get a table on a "walk-up" basis but those who have bookings will always have priority. On-line Booking (with fee) is strongly recommended for indoor tables particularly at weekends.
Food is no longer available. There is a shop selling distillery products, other alcoholic & non-alcoholic drinks.

At 1690 feet, it was England's second highest pub. Built by John Ryle (see Ryle's Arms, Sutton Lane Ends) in the late 18th century. Large lounge and separate, more basic wood-panelled room (now shop), with an alpine feel. The pub closed in 2015 and following a crowd-funding campaign reopened in its present form in 2020.
