This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

The Cotswold Club was housed in the building that was once the Horse & Drill pub. Courage Brewery closed it in 1974 as the planned route of the Cirencester By-pass necessitated its demolition, although the actual route chosen did not require knocking it down. The old club is situated at the truncated end of the old road to Swindon, abutting the 'new' road.

The Cotswold Club has now permanently closed. It did not reopen when the Covid-19 restrictions were relaxed enabling pubs and clubs to reopen.
