300-year-old village local with much exposed stone internally. Large fireplace at one end of the main bar, cosy stove at the other. Large restaurant area. The pub is noted for its floral display in summer.

The Nympsfield Community Pub Group campaigned to save the pub. They completed a community consultation, and registered Nympsfield Community Pub Ltd (NCPL) as a Community Benefit Society. They launched a share offer to raise over ÂŁ400,000 to buy the pub. See this article for more details.
They made an offer to the owner in February 2025. The initial offer was rejected but in Jan 2026 the society reported that their purchase was edging towards completion and the owner is eager to finalise the sale. The purchase was completed in Jan 2026. The group has now commenced a major project to renovate the pub.
