Brewery Tap Room.

In March 2022 The Fresh Standard Brew Co took the plunge and moved from Cuckoo brewing at Artisan Ales in Minchinhampton to acquire Unit 25 Merretts Mill. They opened the tap room immediately to capitalise on the unseasonably warm spring weather and passing trade from the Stroud to Nailsworth cycle track.

At the time of creating this entry the brewing plant was still being installed.

By road you will find Unit 25 on the back of the buildings facing away from the A46 (little road noise) and adjacent to the picturesque cycle track (Note there is no parking space at the unit Richard asks that you walk, cycle or use the frequent buses). If you have to drive please park in the layby on the A46 towards Stroud.

It takes around 45-60 minutes to walk to the Brewery Tap from Stroud depending on whether you are a racehorse or carthorse and is pleasant way to earn your beer.

The unit has a green epoxy floor and colourful bar and bar backdrop. There you will find 3 cask and some Keg beers. Other drinks are available with a lager, cider gins etc. and plenty of snacks.

You are assured of a warm welcome by Richard and or Charlotte and will have a friend for life in Fido

On foot/bike may be assessed off the Cycle track between Stroud and Nailsworth (look for sign). By Road from Stroud, take the A46 to Nailsworth and after 3 miles you will see Nailsworth Garden Machinery. The Fresh Standard Brew Co may be found to the rear of the estate.
