Historic Interest

Stroud Cricket Club in Gloucestershire dates back to the mid-19th century. According to club history references, it was founded in 1850, making it one of the oldest cricket clubs in the county with a continuous presence in local cricket.

Today the club plays its home matches at Cullimore Ground in Ryeford and celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2025, marking a long history since its formation.
