Narrow crooked entranceway off the road opens out to a large plot adjacent the defunct Stroudwater Canal.

Plenty of parking with a mix of tarmac & marked out spaces and gravel surface.

Large grassed garden area to the rear of the premises with a children's play area to keep the little ones amused.

To the front of the pub there is seating alongside the canal with those closest the the building now covered with a green oak shelter.

The pub may be accessed through the door on the side or front, though easiest now through the side door nearest the car park. Inside there is a well stocked bar with plenty of tables/seating in the bar area. The restaurant is a separate room further on.

Two accommodation units are attached to the back of the pub, one twin, one double.

Occasional themed evenings.

Historic Interest

The most Westerly pub close to the Severn entrance to the defunct Stroudwater Canal. This has been a pub since the canal's opening in 1779.
