This Pub is Closed Long Term

Very much off the beaten track in a small village above the severn valley near to Montgomery. This pub is a very important part of the local community. As entering the traditional public bar is on the left and the restaurant area is opposite. Excellent value food is served but must be booked in advance. Drinks are priced very keenly. Unusually for a rural pub sky sports is available. In the absence of a village shop the pub supplies newspapers on Sundays. A quoits pitch was once situated at the rear of the building with international matches played there but this sadly disappeared in 2003 with housing built on the site. Advisable to call ahead especially during the week as opening hours are subject to change. **Landlord advised the pub has closed permanently from April 2021 due to health reasons. The pub has been renovated during late 2021 and is for sale as a licensed premises**
