Independently owned, family run freehouse in the heart of the village with car park to rear. Main bar has a TV, dartboard, jukebox with photos of old Kings Cliffe adorning the walls. There is also a small snug room at the front with bar, currently being used as dining room. At the rear there is a lounge room, with a rare Northants Hood skittles table, which leads onto a large restaurant. All rooms have open fireplaces with two being stone inglenooks. There is a plaque on the wall to commemorate the pub being the last venue Glenn Miller played before he disappeared.
