Reopened, following extensive refurbishment by the new owners on 7th October 2017, under a new management. The Beehive has been welcoming drinkers since 1833. The original licensee was a lime burner, and the pub is named after the Beehive shaped kilns used in this trade. Excellent fresh cooked food and three real ales are offered. The house beer is really Welbeck Abbey Starlight. The refurbishment saw the removal of the snooker table and the removal of the three-room layout to create a single drinking area served by a single bar. Several large TV screens have also been installed, even in the upstairs function room. The staircase has also been substantially altered and patios created on both floors. There is a quiz night on Thursday. Rotherham CAMRA Pub of the Year 2013 - 2016.
