Under new management as of July 2026, this pub is situated at the top of Whitchurch High Street. Inside is one long, narrow bar with a pool table and dart board at one end. TVs show sport and live music is staged at weekends. At the rear is an outdoor drinking area. There are three handpumps, but when surveyed on 3/10/26, only one was in use, it is hoped to put the others to use in due course. The single real ale varies regularly. Food is not available.

Historic Interest

In 2015 the pub's owners were the inaugural winners of the Shrewsbury & West Shropshire 'Bill Bainbridge' Trophy, a new local award for saving or resurrecting a Real Ale facility. This recognized their work in restoring the Cock & Greyhound.
