*** It is highly recommended that you contact the pub to check opening times if you are making a special trip. *** Changed ownership in October 2024, with previous landlord and landlady staying on initially to help.***
Village local with good views across the Wharfe Valley from the outside seating area. All are welcome including well-behaved dogs and children in the snug. The main bar, snug, and parlour room are all warmed by real fires. Black and white photographs of bygone Appletreewick adorn the walls. The bus (Monday, Wednesday and Friday day-time only) stops outside. Beer range may expand up to 16 real ales, kept in wooden casks that the owner takes to the breweries to be filled.
Serve food all day from breakfasts, through to brunch, lite bites and evening meals, using locally sourced ingredients where possible supporting artisan food producers in the area. Seasonal menu reflects the produce of the Yorkshire Dales. Contact the pub for food times.
Note this extract from the previous pub website "But remember, we only serve pints, gills are available for Wussies." The gills referred to are third-pint taster glasses, with three thirds costing the same as a pint of the most expensive beer.
Details may have changed under new ownership. Full survey to follow.
