Re-opened on 18 September 2025 after a short closure for redecoration by new tenants.

Had previously re-opened on 8 June 2023, having been temporarily closed from early September 2022 while Brakspear sought new tenants.

This large Brakspear pub stands on Shirburn Street just off the High Street in Watlington. It has a cosy bar, a dining room and accommodation in a converted barn at the rear of the pub.

Historic Interest

Historic England Grade II listed, entry number 1181451. Built late 18th century with late 17th century/early 18th century rear wing and 20th century alterations.
