A traditional old Grade II-listed country pub spread over three rooms and separated by a central bar area and a large inglenook fireplace, with a wood-burning stove. Consistently good ale and an excellent home-cooked pub menu, using locally sourced produce, make this an ideal stop-off from the nearby M40 motorway. Takeaway food is available every day during food times; please call to order during meal times.
Run by two generations of the same family since 1980, this CAMRA award-winning pub has appeared in all but one edition of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide. The pub offers a warm welcome to all, including walkers from the nearby Ridgeway, with some of the best trails starting and finishing here. It is also a short walk from the Oxford Tube and airline coach stop. The large family-friendly garden includes a children's play area.
