This Pub is Permanently Closed
Once a good example of an inter war roadhouse, multi-roomed, with extensive oak panelling with hints of Art Deco. Opened in 1938, as replacement for two pubs in the town on Mill Street [the Royal Oak and the Neptune] that closed in the 1930's.
Was part of the Allied Breweries estate.
DEMOLISHED.
