This Pub is Permanently Closed

The pub was bought around the turn of the century by a local person who wished to convert the building to residential use. Planning permission was refused both by the Council and on appeal. The owner sat on the empty property, presumably in the hope that the planners will eventually give way. Having been allowed to get away with using the White Horse for residential use for at least ten years, in 2014 planning permission was granted for change of use to residential use.
