Perhaps closer to a hotel than a pub nowadays, the original pub building is a small fraction of the whole complex, with two accommodation blocks and a large extension/conservatory restaurant section. The stylishly decorated bar at the front still retains a pub feel, however, and offers three or four real ales. Greene King IPA, Old Speckled Hen and a guest ale. There is an outside seating area. Food, including an a la carte menu, is available at every session in the bar or the restaurant and is prepared mainly from locally sourced produce. Closes Sunday evening at 7pm. By 2019 the licensees had been here for 15 years.
