This Pub is Closed Long Term

Built in 1898 this small narrow pub stretches back into a yard area originally two rooms with a bar and smoke room. Like many of its age and type some of its downstairs rooms were for private use only. However in 1988 Wolverhampton & Dudley breweries were give permission for alterations which saw the two rooms plus the former private living room turned into one large room with the bar counter altered to a U shape to serve all areas of the pub. In 1992 it was in danger of being demolished under council plans for redevelopment of the area but was saved unlike its neighbour the Golden Cups. May close earlier in the evening if it's quiet.
