Locally famous Jazz music venue.

A one room pub on the high street, with music memorabilia of all styles and eras displayed on the walls and ceiling, offers a varied selection of Holden's award-winning ales. This renowned live jazz venue, also hosts bands from other musical genres. It is typical to find live music Wednesday to Saturday evenings, (see website for details).

Please note: Cash only venue where contributions to a collection tray and raffle are expected when hosting live bands.

Historic Interest

Blue plaque commemorating Tommy Burton, a famous jazz player and entertainer who played regularly at the Trumpet. The Trumpet was also the regular meeting place for the the rock band, Slade, and continues to be frequented by fans at the Slade Convention
