This traditional local dates from the early 19th Century but offers modern facilities such as the various TV screens. It has an open plan layout with a lounge area and games area surrounding a centrally located servery. There are four hand-pulls to serve cask ales but not all of them may be in use or beers may be doubled up. There are two beers gardens. Dogs are allowed in the garden to the front. The rear beer garden, including a parrot enclosure, may be closed in poor weather. The pool team plays on Monday nights. Pool and dominoes league matches are held on Tuesdays. The pool table is free every day, 3pm-6pm. There is a karaoke/disco on Saturdays. Details of forthcoming events are displayed in the pub.
