Small and friendly micropub. Initially opened in June 2017 as "Cobbles" and then, following a change of management, was refurbished and re-opened in November 2019 as "The Watchmaker." It comprises two small rooms on the ground floor with the room to the front containing the bar. The interior has a cosy, traditional appearance with plenty of timber on display and an old range present in the rear room. The four hand-pulls on the bar serve two regular cask ales plus varying guests, one of which is usually a dark beer. Five keg-taps offer two craft beers, two premium lagers and a cider. Additional seating is available outdoors in the courtyard to the side. An additional garden area is located to the rear down a set of steep stairs off the courtyard. The courtyard also provides access to the toilets that are in an adjacent part of the building. A quiz takes place from 7pm on the second Thursday of the month.
