Historic Interest
A report in the Ipswich Journal** in Dec 1830 states that : Saturday last died, aged 49, Rebecca, the wife of Mr R Pattle, of Bury, formerly of the Dog Inn, Norton. A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 01 Oct in 1856 states that : "Mr Joseph C. SMITH is leaving the Dog Inn, Norton - Auction of Household Furniture, Fixtures, Plate, Linen, 700 Gallons of Beer, Brewing Plant, Store Casks & Effects". A report in the Ipswich Journal** on 17 Jul in 1858 states that "Auction of the Dog Inn, Norton St Andrews. Particulars from H.W.
